About: Although Billy fits the age of my demographic he wouldn't be the type of person I would try and target as a large consumer. Considering my video has strong lyrics about romance and other meaningful visuals and other sorts Billy would struggle to find the proper meanings in the piece due to a lack of cultural competency and awareness. Not having this means he can't fully understand the messages I'm sending out and why I am constructing these different representations in my video. Since I'm sifting through footage to try and find the best shots and most impressive scenes to put on my website and video he wouldn't be a great contender to try and tailor it to due to his lack of media literacy meaning he wouldn't have enough knowledge to appreciate the pieces I'm producing.
Favourite artist: He claims not to have one and all round just likes house music which is a lot of lively rave music and remixes of different genres of songs usually used for summer and parties. This is far from indie rock and is a completely different aesthetic and vibe with no infamous artists that rush to your mind when this genre is introduced. Therefore, his music taste wouldn't involve anyone that's signed to the beggars group and therefore he isn't the right type of person to enjoy what I produce.

About: Mark is a single father of 2 daughters age 17 and 22. He is on the lower side of middle class and is a builder while also managing multiple building sites across England. He grew up in Grays and now lives in Southend-on-sea. Due to his generation; he is media literate but only to a certain extent. In his younger years and still bleeding through to today he has been an avid fan of 50 cent, Eminem, Tupac and Biggie. he has always kept himself up to date with their music and what's apparent in their cut of the music industry. Yet, this is where his media knowledge ends unfortunately. Since a lot of what's popular is due to rising generations having differing interests; he is "out of the loop" and finds it difficult to keep up with what's going on nowadays in music and online.
Favourite artist: He has always loved Eminem finding his lyrics catchy and somewhat relatable in the fact that he's a dad to girls and how he rose to fame. His favourites all produce rap music and rap about being in more run down neighbourhoods. Although this is very meaningful and gives a representation of marginalised groups, since I'm trying to gain an upmarket audience my music will not have this feature therefore he doesn't suit my demographic due to social class and age.
